A graduate of Fisk University with a Bachelor’s in Biology and a Master’s from Cal State Dominguez Hills, she is passionate about connecting with students and communities to enhance educational achievement. As a lifelong member of East 105th Street Christian Church, where she serves as Assistant Pastor, Courtney co-founded the Sim M. Spencer Community Development Center and is the Executive Director of Woman 2 Woman California, a nonprofit focused on empowering women and girls through leadership development. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Woman to Woman California was founded in May of 2019, as a result of working with women and girls in the public school system, local church, and the community at large. Woman to Woman was birthed through hosting workshops for women’s groups, and speaking at conferences and Prayer Breakfasts in various churches and community organizations. The work continued through hosting discipleship groups and organizing girl groups at schools with high success rates. It was through these different avenues that Woman to Woman became a non-profit organization to support women and girls in the community to ensure they have an outlet and a space to receive love, care and concern while withstanding life’s’ challenges. Woman to Woman provides spiritual care, educational support, resources and tools to assist in the personal, professional and
spiritual growth of women and girls.
VISION: Bringing women and girls together of various backgrounds in a safe space to share their stories, promote their genius and build their confidence to live a life of joy and fulfillment.
MISSION STATEMENT: to empower and encourage women and girls to be their best selves. To help them find their identity in Christ and provide a safe space for conversation, support and encouragement to build their capacity for growth, education, leadership and development.
The way I help them get this result is by:
Identifying their life’s purpose
Creating a safe space for healthy conversation
Supporting them through the transformative process
Leveraging their self-growth and personal development
Assisting them on their success journey through consistency and commitment
